Mrs. Peterson's Favorite Author?

Students are always asking me who my favorite author is. I have quite a few favorite authors, but I think at the top of my list is Jack Gantos and his Joey Pigza books. I love the books because they are so funny but at the same time are so realistic. I can see a little Joey Pigza in a lot of students at Butte des Morts School. Joey Pigza is a good kid, he always tries really hard to be good, but somehow he is always finding himself getting into some kind of mess.
